The Unicorn in Captivity, one of the series of seven tapestries The Hunt of the Unicorn (late 15th century)

The unicorn is the symbol of purity and virginity. It will only give itself to the virgin—to the Cosmic Mother.

It is a beautiful, mythical figure, and the single-pointed horn coming from its head is the symbol of the raised Kundalini of the Mother. It is a very high archetype of spiritual striving.

Somewhere in heaven that God Star is pulling us forward. Perhaps that is how the horn grew on the unicorn—one single spiral pointing upward to that God Star, showing the way of the rising Trinity and the flame of the Mother.
