True attainment is not the acquiring of power over others, but it is supreme control of the energy that is God within the self. Attainment is the putting on of the garment of the Lord, the momentum of his self-mastery. The mantle of the consciousness of the Guru is a momentum. It is symbolized in the robe of Christ. The passing of the mantle is the passing of the momentums of attainment.
