Much of the turbulence in the Middle East today exists between the descendants of the two sons of Abraham. Ishmael, the son of Hagar, is the forefather of the Arabs. Isaac, the son of Sarah, is the forefather of the Jews. Their descendants have fought many times in the past and they are still fighting today.[1]
