The butter left after Krishna helped himself had a finer flavor and was much in request among the buyers. They readily paid twice the price and fought for it. The gopis began to complain if Krishna did not go to their houses and help himself. Many gopis watched with great pleasure from behind a door as Krishna and his friends helped themselves to the butter.[1]
