Libre albedrío
La libertad de crear; la opción de elegir el camino de la derecha o el de la izquierda, la Vida o la Muerte, las espirales positivas o negativas de la conciencia.
Como posee el don del libre albedrío, el alma puede elegir permanecer en el plano de la relatividad, donde el bien y el mal son relativos según la propia perspectiva en el tiempo y el espacio, o bien puede optar por el plano del Absoluto, donde el Bien es real y el Mal es irreal y el alma contempla «cara a cara» a Dios como la Verdad viva. Libre albedrío significa que el individuo puede aceptar o rechazar el plan divino, las leyes de Dios y la oportunidad de vivir en la conciencia del Amor.
El don del libre albedrío otorgado por Dios conlleva una cierta extensión de conciencia, conocida como duración de la vida (una serie de encarnaciones), y «los límites de la existencia del hombre». [1] El alma, por tanto, no sólo está confinada al tiempo y al espacio durante su período de experimentación con el libre albedrío, sino que también está limitada a un cierto número de ciclos de vida. Al término de esta oportunidad (compartimentada en días, años y dimensiones), el uso que haya hecho el alma en cuestión del regalo del libre albedrío determina su destino.
El alma que ha escogido glorificar al Ego Divino (la Realidad) asciende a la Presencia del YO SOY EL QUE YO SOY. El alma que ha elegido glorificar al ego humano (la irrealidad) pasa por la segunda muerte, [2] esto es, su conciencia de Autonegación será cancelada para siempre; y todas sus energías, consumidas simultáneamente por el fuego sagrado, son devueltas al Gran Sol Central para ser repolarizadas.
Free will and karma
Sin libre albedrío no puede haber karma, ni en Dios ni el hombre. El libre albedrío, por tanto, es una capacidad del Espíritu Santo, la causa del rayo en manifestación. El libre albedrío es el punto crucial de la ley de la integración. Solo Dios y el hombre pueden incurrir en karma, pues solo Dios y Dios en el hombre tienen libre albedrío. Todas las demás criaturas —incluyendo la vida elemental, la evolución dévica y la angélica— son instrumentos de la voluntad de Dios y la del hombre. Por ello son instrumentos del karma de Dios y el hombre.
The free will of angels is the free will of God. Angels are required to fulfill God’s will, for unlike man, they are not given the liberty to experiment with God’s energy. Although angels do make mistakes that produce results which are contrary to God’s will, they can later rectify their mistakes and realign that energy with God’s will.
Angelic rebellion against God’s will is of a different order than the karma-making exercise of free will in man. Free will is central to man’s expanding God-identity within the framework of the Great Law. Man is given the liberty to experiment with his free will, for he is a god in the making.
On the other hand, angels, who partake only of the free will of God, remove themselves from their lofty estate if they rebel against the will of God that they are charged to carry out. Thus, if an angel chooses to act against God’s will, he must be banished from the angelic realm to the footstool kingdom and embody in the kingdom of man.
Man, who is made a little lower than the angels, is already confined to the lower spheres of relativity. So when he creates negative karma, he simply remains at his own level while he balances it. But an angel who rebels against God’s will is removed from his high estate of complete identification with God and is relegated to the lower spheres of man’s habitation to balance the energy of God that he has misqualified.
