The real meaning of the passage of scripture in which John the Revelator referred to the little book which would be sweet in the mouth and bitter in the belly[1] relates to his digestion of the idea of himself as containing the universe and the universe containing him. The Book of Life spoken of in Revelation[2] is the lexicon of God, and the lexicon of God embraces the entire cosmos.
