Morador do Umbral
Morador do Umbral é a expressão utilizada às vezes para designar o anti-Eu, o não-eu, o eu sintético, a antítese do Eu Real, o conglomerado do ego autocriado, criação indevida pelo uso desordenado do livre-arbítrio, consistindo na mente carnal e em uma constelação de energias malqualificadas, campos de força, focos, magnetismo animal, incluindo-se aí a mente subconsciente. O contato do homem com o eu antimagnético reptiliano – inimigo de Deus, de seu Cristo e da reunião da alma com este Cristo – dá-se através do corpo de desejos, ou corpo astral, e através do chakra do plexo solar.
O morador do umbral, portanto, é o núcleo de um vórtice de energia que forma o “cinto eletrônico”, em forma de tímbalo que circunda os quatro corpos inferiores, da cintura para baixo. A cabeça da serpente do morador é vista, vez por outra, emergindo do pescoço negro do inconsciente. Este cinto eletrônico contém a causa, o efeito, o registro e a memória do carma humano em seu aspecto negativo. O carma positivo, como atos realizados através da consciência divina, está registrado no Corpo Causal e selado nos anéis de fogo eletrônicos que envolvem a Presença do EU SOU de cada um.
O morador do umbral planetário é personificado pelas forças do Anticisto.
O encontro com o morador
Quando a serpente adormecida do morador é despertada pela presença do Cristo, a alma deve tomar a decisão, ditada pelo livre-arbítrio, de exterminar, pelo poder da Presença do EU SOU, este anticristo pessoal e obstinado e tornar-se o defensor do Eu Real, até que a alma reúna-se inteiramente com Ele, que é o Senhor justo, o SENHOR NOSSA JUSTIÇA, o Eu verdadeiro de todas as correntes de vida na senda da iniciação.
The dweller appears to the soul on the threshold of conscious awareness where it knocks to gain entrance into the ‘legitimate’ realm of self-acknowledged selfhood. The dweller would enter to become the master of the house. But it is Christ and only Christ whose knock you must answer—him only must you bid enter. The most serious initiation on the path of the disciple of Christ is the confrontation with the not-self. For if it is not slain by the soul who is one in the Christ Mind, it will emerge to devour that soul in the full-vented rage of its hatred for the Light.
The necessity for the Teacher on the Path and for the Guru Sanat Kumara with us, physically manifest in the messenger of Maitreya, is to hold the balance both spiritually and in the physical octave for each individual initiate on the Path as he approaches the initiation of the encounter—face-to-face with the dweller-on-the-threshold.
In Theosophy
In The Theosophical Glossary, H. P. Blavatsky defines dweller on the threshold as “a term invented by Bulwer Lytton in Zanoni;... ‘Dweller’ is an occult term used by students for long ages past, and refers to certain maleficent astral Doubles of defunct persons.” Astral Double refers to “the ethereal counterpart or shadow of man or animal.”
